"After a nasty sewer backup, our KH had a talk about the proper disposal of tampons and diapers" yep! Put us down for that one too! I'm in Melb Australia. I was so disgusted with the speaker, he made no effect in trying to find the real reason for the blockage, I felt so sorry particularly for the single sisters who had to hear it, as it turned out once the plumber looked at it , it was because the pipe was cracked and weeds grew in it. The Speaker who was the PO was such a D-Head !

The WTS and the name Jehovah.
by The Lone Ranger inthe wts makes a big thing that they are the only ones who use god's name jehovah, firstly its not true that they are the only ones, but it is true that they make a big thing about it more then any other religion and they seem proud of this and to their eyes it shows they are the true relgion.
but in another sense they have use the name so much that they have almost turned it into a trade mark, like they almost have a copyright to it, many in the world now when they hear the word 'jehovah" don't think of god but think of jehovahs' witness's..some crazy cult relgion.
so really they may have done more to dishonor gods name then those who refuse to use it at all.

When did you realize that you were part of a cult?

When I went against the cults advise and went to the internet. What I read i didn't beleive but I checked it out with the WTS early publications and it was ALL true.

Everything that you do for them is regarded as a privilege, not just major things as giving talks, or answering at the meetings, but reading at the book study, evening turning ON the lights or being the car park attendent is regarded as a privilege, and the crazy part is that many see it this way too, its a privilege to wipe there bums! excuse me ladies.

I also have too much too loose, I'm not afriad of being here, its great, but I'm afriad of being caught. Wife is a JW, kids are still in, all family and friends are JW's, its a complete life change if I leave and thats what the Watchtower wants, they call it Jehovahs' spirit that keeps the people in but its not, its the loving arrangment the call Disfellowshipping., its more like a gun against our heads, if we leave they pull the trigger.
Besides, I find it interesting still being on the inside but knowing the real truth, knowing why so many are stressed and unhappy, how they blame all there depressions on this system but its the Watchtower way of life that does it, looking at an elder straight in the eyes and having no fear. Its almost fun haha.

Yes, I am an active JW. I go to meetings 90% of the time, I go to Field service to keep others happy.
